Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana joined Trabzonspor on loan for the 2025-26 season.

The Cameroon international moved before Turkey’s transfer window closes Friday.

Onana did not play in United’s first three Premier League matches this season.

    United Sends Off Onana

United announced the loan and wished Onana good luck, pending international clearance and registration.

He only appeared in United’s Carabao Cup upset against League Two side Grimsby.

    Background and Squad Impact

United signed Onana from Inter Milan in July 2023 for £47.2m to replace David de Gea.

He made 102 appearances and helped United win the 2024 FA Cup.

Mistakes marked Onana’s United tenure, prompting the club to sign Belgian keeper Senne Lammens for €21m.

Amorim now has Lammens, Altay Bayindir, and Tom Heaton as his Premier League goalkeeping options.
