Endrick Struggles to Break Through at Real Madrid

Endrick, once tipped as Brazil’s next superstar, faces limited opportunities under Real Madrid manager Xabi Alonso. The 19-year-old played just 14 minutes this season, entering late in a 4-0 win over Valencia. Last season, he scored seven goals but mostly appeared off the bench. Injuries, including a recurring hamstring problem, delayed his integration into Alonso’s squad. Former coach Carlo Ancelotti also left him out of Brazil’s squad for the fourth international window in a row.

    Loan Moves and Development Questions

Real Madrid considers loaning Endrick in January to gain regular first-team experience. Sources suggest Premier League and top European clubs, including Lyon, show interest. Balague explained that a loan could accelerate Endrick’s growth while preserving his long-term future at Real. However, a poor loan spell could hinder his confidence and prospects at Madrid. Endrick previously rejected a summer loan, believing staying at Real would improve his national team chances.

    Career Decisions Amid Rising Competition

Endrick faces pressure from emerging talents like Estevao Willian at Chelsea, who now draws public attention in Brazil. Advisors weigh the benefits of staying in Madrid versus gaining minutes elsewhere. Alonso could still offer more first-team action before the winter break, which might resolve the dilemma. Real invested €72 million in Endrick, highlighting the club’s interest in protecting its asset while managing his development carefully.
