Wolves agreed a £24m deal to sign Genk forward Tolu Arokodare, the club confirmed.
The 24-year-old scored 21 goals last season, finishing joint-top scorer in the Jupiler League.
Strengthening Attack
Arokodare will support Jorgen Strand Larsen, as Wolves rejected Newcastle’s £50m and £55m bids for the Norway international.
Manager Vitor Pereira stressed he wanted another forward to aid Strand Larsen, not replace him.
The Nigerian has scored 41 goals in 113 appearances for Genk since joining from Latvian club Valmiera in 2023.
Midfield Options
Pereira also explored Burnley midfielder Josh Brownhill, now available on a free transfer after leaving the club this summer.
Brownhill scored 18 goals last season to help Burnley return to the Premier League.
Wolves can only sign homegrown players this transfer window, and they have held talks with the 29-year-old.
Wolves Struggle in the Premier League
Wolves sit bottom of the Premier League with zero points after three consecutive defeats.
Saturday’s 3-2 loss at home to Everton marked their third loss in as many games.
