Wolves manager Vitor Pereira signed a new three-year contract at Molineux, extending his stay until 2029.
Pereira guided the club to safety with a 16th-place finish after arriving in December 2024, when Wolves sat 19th.
The 57-year-old’s previous contract was due to expire in summer 2026.
Wolves currently sit bottom of the Premier League after losing their first four matches.
Club Leadership Emphasizes Stability
Chairman Jeff Shi praised Pereira’s impact, citing clarity, energy, and team spirit as foundations for success.
Shi stated the club will give Pereira time to develop chemistry with new players and support his staff fully.
Squad Changes Challenge Early Season Form
Wolves lost key players over the summer, including Matheus Cunha to Manchester United for £62.5m.
Rayan Ait-Nouri joined Manchester City for £31m, while Nelson Semedo moved to Fenerbahce.
Speculation over striker Jorgen Strand Larsen distracted the team during a difficult start.
Pereira also integrated five new recruits while adjusting to the squad’s changes.
Pereira Pledges Commitment and Improvement
Pereira said the team will raise its performance and aims to make supporters proud on the pitch.
He expressed pride in his role, calling it an honor to lead Wolves and urging unity.
“This is the moment we need to be united,” Pereira emphasized to fans and staff.
