Forward Signs Short-Term Deal
Northampton Town have confirmed the arrival of ex-Blackburn Rovers striker Jack Vale on a contract running until the end of the season. The 24-year-old had been training with the Cobblers before earning the deal, with the coaching staff convinced he can bolster their attacking options.
Career So Far
Vale came through the youth ranks at Blackburn and went on to feature in the first team, scoring three goals during his time at Ewood Park. He also gained experience through loan spells at Barrow, Rochdale, Halifax, Lincoln City, and Scottish side Motherwell. A Wales Under-21 international, Vale has long been considered a player with potential to make an impact at senior level.
Manager Backs New Signing
Cobblers boss Kevin Nolan praised the addition, highlighting Vale’s physical presence and versatility up front. Standing at 6ft 1in, Vale is expected to add a different dimension to the side’s forward line as Northampton aim to strengthen their attacking threat in the final months of the campaign.
