Manchester United are nearing a €20m (£17m) deal for Royal Antwerp goalkeeper Senne Lammens. The 23‑year‑old Belgium Under‑21 international is expected to provide competition for André Onana, whose form has been questioned since arriving from Inter in July 2023. Onana was omitted from the opening‑day loss to Arsenal, where Altay Bayindir made a decisive error. Although United have rejected approaches for Onana and he plans to stay, his position will come under added pressure with Lammens’ arrival. The Cameroonian is also set to miss matches during the Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, beginning December 24 against Gabon. Lammens, who made his senior debut at Club Brugge in 2021 before joining Antwerp two years later, featured against Porto in the Champions League. While reports in Belgium suggest personal terms are agreed, this is yet to be confirmed.

Amorim Confirms Wantaway Quartet Training Separately
Ruben Amorim addressed the uncertain futures of Alejandro Garnacho, Jadon Sancho, Antony and Tyrell Malacia, who have been training apart from the squad since pre‑season. None were involved in the loss to Arsenal, nor will they feature against Fulham. Amorim admitted it is “not a good thing” but remains open to reintegration should they stay beyond the September 1 transfer deadline. Garnacho is attracting Chelsea, Sancho has held talks with Roma, Antony may return to Betis, and Malacia is on the radar of Celtic, Besiktas and Porto. Marcus Rashford is the only senior player to leave so far, joining Barcelona on loan. Benjamin Sesko is expected to start in attack at Fulham, while Amorim confirmed Onana is ready to play though he has yet to decide on the starting goalkeeper.
