Achraf Hakimi scored twice and Desire Doue added a late goal as Paris Saint-Germain reclaimed the Ligue 1 lead with a 3-0 victory over Brest. Hakimi opened the scoring by controlling a lofted pass from Vitinha and finishing calmly for his first goal of the season.
He struck again just before half-time, driving the ball home from a tight angle inside the box to double PSG’s lead. Brest struggled to contain PSG’s relentless attacks throughout the first half as the champions controlled possession and dictated the tempo.
Brest Miss Penalty as PSG Maintain Control
Brest earned a penalty early in the second half after a VAR check confirmed a handball. Romain del Castillo stepped up but blasted his effort over the bar, missing a chance to reduce the deficit. PSG quickly regained rhythm and continued pressing for a third goal.
Ballon d’Or winner Ousmane Dembele came off the bench to make his first league appearance since August following his recovery from a hamstring injury. He nearly scored on his return but fired just over from the edge of the box.
Doue Seals Victory in Stoppage Time
In the closing minutes, Desire Doue struck the post with a powerful shot before finding the net moments later. He buried a close-range finish with the final kick of the match to complete PSG’s 3-0 win.
The result sent Paris Saint-Germain back to the top of the Ligue 1 table and extended their unbeaten streak. Luis Enrique’s side will return to league action on Wednesday when they face Lorient away at 18:00 GMT, looking to maintain their momentum in the title race.
