League One Side Pushes Premier League Opponents to the Limit
Fulham were forced to a dramatic penalty shootout before advancing past Wycombe Wanderers in the Carabao Cup fourth round, after a tense 1-1 draw at Craven Cottage. The visitors took a surprise lead through former Fulham forward Cauley Woodrow, whose 20-yard strike silenced the home crowd midway through the first half.

    Young Talent Levels the Score
The Premier League side equalised early in the second half when teenager Josh King flicked home a clever finish to restore parity. Despite dominating possession, Fulham struggled to break down Wycombe’s disciplined defence, with the League One side holding firm to force the game into a shootout.

Lecomte the Hero in the Shootout
In the deciding penalties, goalkeeper Benjamin Lecomte produced three crucial saves to secure Fulham’s 5-4 victory, while defender Issa Diop calmly converted the winning spot kick. The result sees Fulham move into the quarterfinals, though manager Marco Silva’s team were made to work hard against a spirited Wycombe side that left the competition with plenty of credit.
