Barcelona delivered a dominant display in the Champions League, thrashing Olympiakos 6-1 at the Olympic Stadium thanks to a Fermín López hat-trick and a Marcus Rashford brace.

López opened the scoring in the seventh minute, pouncing on a rebound, before doubling the lead just before halftime with a swift counterattack. Olympiakos briefly fought back when Ayoub El Kaabi converted a penalty early in the second half, but their hopes faded after Santiago Hezze was sent off in the 57th minute for a second yellow card.

With the Greek side reduced to ten men, Barcelona ran riot. Lamine Yamal converted a penalty after Rashford was fouled, and the English forward then struck twice in five minutes to extend the lead. López sealed his hat-trick between Rashford’s goals to complete an emphatic win.

In the night’s other early fixture, Kairat Almaty and Pafos FC played out a goalless draw in Kazakhstan. The visitors were reduced to ten men after João Correia was sent off just four minutes in, and Kairat saw a potential own goal ruled out for offside in the buildup.
