Tottenham Hotspur have begun their search for a new manager after dismissing Thomas Frank following a run of two wins in 17 Premier League games. Chief executive Vinai Venkatesham and sporting director Johan Lange are leading the process and could appoint an interim coach before the summer.
Roberto De Zerbi has emerged as a leading contender after leaving Marseille. The Italian previously impressed at Brighton with his attacking style and Premier League experience. Spurs are also considering current assistant John Heitinga as a short-term option.
Supporters again voiced support for Mauricio Pochettino during Tuesday’s defeat by Newcastle. Pochettino, now managing the United States, remains tied to World Cup preparations but could become available after the tournament. Andoni Iraola, currently at Bournemouth, is another name under discussion.
Former Spurs striker Robbie Keane is also being monitored after title success with Ferencvaros and Maccabi Tel Aviv. Spurs have granted players time off before facing Arsenal, giving the club space to decide on Frank’s successor.
