Jimoh-Aloba struck three minutes from time to secure second place in the table, though Villa lost Ollie Watkins to a hamstring injury.
Elsewhere, Porto beat Rangers 3-1 to reach the last 16, while Lyon finished top and Roma sealed qualification.
