Wolfsburg came from behind to defeat Manchester United, ending the English side’s perfect Women’s Champions League record.
Fridolina Rolfo opened scoring in the 14th minute with her third goal of the competition.
Ella Peddemors equalized three minutes later, exploiting a mix-up between goalkeeper Safia Middleton-Patel and captain Maya Le Tissier.
Peddemors scored again in the 37th minute, sending a loose ball past Middleton-Patel at the far post.
Lineth Beerensteyn added a third for Wolfsburg in the 45th minute before Melvine Malard pulled one back in stoppage time.
Beerensteyn struck again in the 65th minute, finishing past Le Tissier after shrugging off Julia Zigiotti Olme.
Wolfsburg completed the rout in added time when Vivien Endemann converted Jayde Riviere’s poor back-pass.
Rolfo admitted after the game that United must learn from defensive mistakes and improve their organization.

    United Struggle to Keep Up

Manchester United started aggressively, with Rolfo heading home Malard’s cross after a clever run on the left.
Wolfsburg pressured relentlessly, forcing rushed passes and punishing defensive errors for goals.
United’s energy dipped, and their slow transitions allowed Peddemors and Beerensteyn to score.
Malard’s first-half goal offered hope, but Wolfsburg’s superior intensity dominated the second half.
Set-piece vulnerabilities and defensive lapses left United exposed throughout the match.
Recent congestion in fixtures has left United fatigued, struggling to balance domestic and European competition.
Back-to-back WSL defeats have dropped United seven points behind leaders, threatening automatic Champions League qualification.

    Upcoming Fixtures

Manchester United will face West Ham in the WSL on Sunday, 7 December, before hosting Lyon on 10 December.
Wolfsburg travels to Real Madrid on Tuesday, 9 December, for their next Champions League clash.
Both teams will use the international break to regroup and adjust strategies for the busy December schedule.
