Real Madrid edged a dramatic clásico 2-1 over Barcelona at the Santiago Bernabéu, with Jude Bellingham scoring the decisive goal to send his side four points clear at the top of La Liga.

The match, packed with controversy and intensity, stretched to more than 100 minutes and featured 37 shots, three disallowed goals, a saved penalty, and a red card for Pedri deep into stoppage time.

Madrid struck first after Bellingham turned superbly to play in Kylian Mbappé, who slotted home for the opener midway through the first half. Barcelona hit back through Fermín López, finishing off a quick passing move involving Pedri, Marcus Rashford, and Alejandro Balde.

But Madrid reclaimed the lead before half-time when Vinícius Júnior beat Jules Koundé and crossed for Éder Militão to head down for Bellingham, who made no mistake from close range.

Mbappé saw another goal ruled out for offside and later missed a penalty after Eric García’s handball, while Thibaut Courtois denied López as Barcelona chased an equaliser.

Tempers flared in the closing moments when Pedri, exhausted and frustrated, fouled Aurélien Tchouaméni and was sent off, sparking a mass confrontation between players.

Madrid held firm to secure their first clásico win in five meetings — and with it, a significant step toward reclaiming the La Liga crown.
