City Await Key Midfielder’s Recovery Update
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has conceded that he is unsure when Rodri will be ready to return from his current injury. The Spanish international has been sidelined with a muscle problem, and while the team is hopeful for a swift recovery, Guardiola confirmed that there is still no definitive timeline for his comeback.

Crucial Absence in the Heart of Midfield
Rodri’s spell on the sidelines has left a noticeable gap in City’s midfield, where his control and defensive presence are vital to the team’s rhythm. The Premier League champions have struggled to find the same stability in his absence, relying on a mix of Mateo Kovačić, Kalvin Phillips, and Bernardo Silva to fill the void. Guardiola acknowledged that while others can adapt, none fully replicate Rodri’s influence.

    Cautious Approach to Avoid Setbacks
Guardiola emphasized that the club will not risk rushing the midfielder back into action, insisting the priority is ensuring a full recovery. “He’ll return when he’s completely ready,” Guardiola said. “We can’t afford to push him and risk a longer setback.” With crucial fixtures ahead in both domestic and European competitions, City are treading carefully as they manage their midfield leader’s rehabilitation.
