Gianluigi Donnarumma has joined Manchester City from Paris Saint-Germain for a reported €35m (£30.4m), signing a five-year deal and taking the No. 99 shirt. The Italy goalkeeper, who helped PSG win last season’s Champions League, described the move as a “special and proud moment” and expressed excitement about joining Pep Guardiola’s squad.
Meanwhile, long-time City goalkeeper Ederson has left after eight years, joining Fenerbahce. The 32-year-old Brazilian won 18 major trophies with City, including six Premier League titles and a Champions League, also claiming the Golden Glove three times. Ederson called his time at City “the most special time of my life.”
City have also loaned Manuel Akanji to Inter Milan for the season.
